Sex Issue – No Crap

Australia appointed its first woman governor general today.

Congrats to Australia and the Aussies. For the bold step.

And for taking no crap excuses.

Language Crap

English.

Not german. Not chinese.

As a whole, not a crappy language. For communication. For cursing.

But there are some quirks in the language. Quirks that border on crap.

Take for example:

PronOunce. Pronunciation. Whatever happened to the ‘O’ in the first word?

And talking about pronunciation – more quirks:

“economic” is pronounced as ec-con-nor-mic. Crap. Why not spell it like it is pronounced: ecconormic. There. No more confusion.

And what about “predator”? Pronounced as pre-dee-ter. More crap.

To the English – Please make up your mind. Say what you write and write what you say.

A new baby and crap

A new baby was born a few weeks ago.

Today, it moves its limbs, struggling to state its mind. To make its desires known.

The baby is democracy.

It is the empowerment of the average people. Your everyday Ahmad, Lim, and Muthu. To decide their own destinies.

But there are predators lurking in the shadows. In the guise of “Ketuanan Melayu”. Waiting to strangle the life out of this newborn.
