Social Contract Crap

MPs slam Bar Council for hosting forum

Several MPs yesterday hit out at the Bar Council for hosting a forum on the social contract which they felt was purposely aimed at provoking the people

There is no doubt that there are many poor Malays in kampungs scattered throughout Malaysia needing assistance.
But the question here is: why is a debate in a closed forum provoking to the people?

Here is Crap no. 1:

Datuk Ibrahim Ali (Independent-Pasir Mas), who raised the matter, questioned the motive of the forum and described the remarks made by the panellists as provocative and testing the patience and dignity of the Malays and other Bumiputeras

Since when are the other Bumiputeras important to UMNO?
Anyway, this chap is the same idiot who said something equally idiotic here

And crap no. 2:

The forum has angered the Malays as they feel the non-Malay speakers at the forum had no right to question the rights and position of the Malays in this country

Substitute “Malays” with “UMNOPUTERAS” and you’ll understand this idiot’s indignation.
And again, these questions remain unanswered:

a – “rights” to do what (these rights not already existing or granted under law)?
b – “position” means? What position could be that important to Pak Ali who is struggling to plant his padi in Kedah.

Of course, it is important to those in power to retain power (and riches?).

Crap no 3:

Ibrahim said realising the importance of maintaining security and political stability in the country, the Malays had not taken any drastic action to show their dissatisfaction.

I presume he has taken a consensus across Malaysia. Or is he talking through his other end?

Crap No. 4

Datuk Dr Puad Zarkashi (BN-Batu Pahat) interjected by asking whether the Bar Council’s action could be regarded as questioning the Federal Constitution.

“Their view that the social contract is not enshrined in the constitution is a subtle attempt or effort to question the constitution.

“And this questioning of Malay rights and privileges stipulated in the constitution will become a culture. Isn’t this the beginning of a conspiracy by the Bar Council to question the constitution?” Puad said.

Hello? Has this Datuk read the Constitution?

Note that the idiot has now termed “position” as “rights” and “privileges”.
Again, ask Pak Ali what his privileges are…

Crap No. 5

Ibrahim then said the outcry started after Royal Prof Ungku Aziz Ungku Abdul Hamid had said that there was no such thing as a social contract in the constitution in the physical sense among Malaysia’s diverse ethnic groups.

“I do not know whether this is true or not, but the statement is being harped on by the anti-Malay, anti-progress and anti-unity people in the country,” he said.

He does not know if this is true or not!
Yet he stood up to debate the matter.

Note his irresponsibility when he says “but the statement is being harped on by the anti-Malay, anti-progress and anti-unity people in the country”.
Who is harping? UMNOPUTRAS. Clearly one single forum cannot be construed as “harping”.
Idiot.

Last crap:
Datuk Mohamad Aziz (BN-Sri Gading) urged those who questioned the social contract to put a stop to it to prevent disunity among the various races.

He said unity had been the pillar of the country’s progress but of late many things which had been agreed upon before were being questioned.

“I urge all quarters to stop challenging what we had accepted 50 years ago,” he said.

I guess this Datuk was there, in his diapers, accepting the social contract agreement.
Who am I to disagree – I wasn’t even born yet.

CRAP!!!

UPDATE

Here are samplings of the use of “special” position and “privileges”:

Crime against Malaysia’s poor farmers

Where has all the tsunami money gone?

I like this part:

This is Faizal Mhd Yusuff, one of the tsunami fisherfolk. Faizal actually had a decent home near the site of the Floating Mosque before it was built. But when construction of the mosque began he had to move to a temporary longhouse, and when the tsunami struck, he and some of his fellow fisherfolk moved to the present “temporary” longhouse on the beach near the Tanjung Bunga police station. Each home measured 12? x 10? (later extended to 18? x 10?) and the living room, kitchen and bedroom all occupy the same space. “Is this any way for a family to live?” he asked.

He is as bumiputera and as Malay as you can get.

Pray tell, how does the idiots’ argument for “social contract” help the everyday Ali’s and Ahmad’s?

More Crap!
