Succession Plan In Keeping With Tradition – Muhammad Taib

Umno information chief Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib on Thursday said Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s decision to hand over the post of Umno president to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was in keeping with party tradition.

That’s right TaikTaib.

We should uphold UMNO’s tradition at all cost.

Now let’s count the cost:

  • Loss of democratic process in UMNO
  • Tradition of cronyism
  • Tradition of nepotism
  • Traditon of scratching each other’s back
  • Tradition of flying cash into other countries
  • Tradition of lying about marrying someone’s daughter
  • fill in your favorite tradition

“The succession plan saves Umno because it makes a complete change. This is the best way to strengthen the party,” he said, adding that the Umno information machinery would explain on the plan to the grassroots.

Yes, sir. I agree wholeheartedly.

It made a complete change from what was once a respected party into a ham-sap-party consisting of half-past-sixes.

And you didn’t mean “strengthen the party”, did you? I believe you meant “strengthen the position of those who are about to lose their offices”, no?

Wanita Umno chief Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz hoped the posts of Umno president and Deputy President would not be contested.

Of course, lah – she herself has no chance in a million contesting those seats. So can shit all the crap she wants. Hmm…I wonder what was promised her in return?

Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin said the succession plan would lead to better stability politically.

I think what he really meant was “the succession plan would lead to better stable political progression for ME”.

And the crunch comes from none other than SIL:

Umno is blessed with a good tradition. In this matter, it will give a clear direction on our future and a systematic succession plan.

Wah. So blessed that it lost its 2/3 majority…

Crap
